Wayne Local Schools Announce Appointment of New Board Member

Wayne Local Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Darla Sackett to its Board of Education, effective immediately. Mrs. Sackett will be filling the position vacated by Kelly Morris, who has resigned from the board.

Darla Sackett brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new role. She served as an educator in a local school district for 12 years. Currently, Darla is the Development Coordinator with the Grandview Foundation/Kettering Health Dayton Osteopathic.

Mrs. Sackett holds two Master’s degrees in education and is actively involved with the WHS Alumni Association, where she leads the Scholarship Committee. 

Darla and her husband, Tom, are lifelong residents of Waynesville. In her spare time, Darla can be found cheering on the Reds or spending time with her grandsons, Collin, and Crew. 

When asked about her new appointment, Darla states, “I am honored to join the outstanding board members and truly grateful for this appointment.  I love my community and school district and look forward to serving with commitment, compassion, and transparency.”

We are thrilled to welcome Darla Sackett to our Board of Education. Her extensive expertise and visionary leadership will undoubtedly play a crucial role in Wayne Local School District’s continued success and growth.
