Congratulations to our Girls Track and Field Team relay members who have qualified for the OHSAA State Meet in Columbus.
4x800m: Savanna Amburgy, Sam Erbach, Emme Greely, Maria Gill
First Alternates: Kyla Harvey (4x8), Abigail Butterbaugh (4x2)
4x200m: Savanna Amburgy, Baylee Williams, Leila Jacox, Kelcie Grayson
Second Alternates: Abigail Foley (4x8), Jillian Layne (4x2)
The 4x800m will run as a final on Friday at 1:30pm.
The 4x200m will run prelims on Friday at 2:30pm and finals are on Saturday at 1:15pm. Tickets must be purchased online at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets

Track Update

Congratulations to our Girls Track and Field District Champions and our Boys District Runner-Up. The team was awarded Thursday night prior to the start of the Regional Meet at Piqua. The team will continue competition on Saturday at Piqua with their eyes set on State. The schedule is below for the Regional Meet on Saturday.

Both the boys and girls track and field teams were crowned League Champions last weekend at the SWBL meet held in Bellbrook.

The high school track team had great success at the Wayne Track meet this past weekend.
Podium results for the weekend included: 4x800m- 2nd place - Savanna Amburgy, Maria Gill, Emme Greely, Sam Erbach
Distance Medley Relay- 3rd place - Emme Greely, Maria Gill, Sam Erbach, Kyla Harvey
Shot Put- 8th place - Brooke SchoephoersterLong Jump- 6th place - Zach Turner
4x400m Relay- 4th place - Savanna Amburgy, Maria Gill, Emme Greely, Sam Erbach
1600m- 3rd place -Sam Erbach and she lowered her own school record by 6.4 seconds!
High School Track and Field:

Last Friday night, Waynesville hosted the final home high school meet of the season. Both the boys and girls teams were the clear champions of the meet! Our seniors were honored prior to the evening’s festivities. This week our track athletes competed at Monroe and our finishing up the week at Wayne.
The boys and girls HS track team competed last Thursday night at Clinton Massie’s Copeland Invitational. Both teams were crowned champions! They compete again this Friday night at our Waynesville Invitational were we will also honor our Senior track athletes.
