Introducing New Director of Student Services and Special Education

Wayne Local Schools Welcome New Director of Student Services and Special Education - Kevin Wright

We are delighted to announce Kevin Wright as the new Director of Student Services and Special Education for Wayne Local Schools.  Kevin comes to us with a wealth of experience and a passion for student advocacy and educational excellence.

Kevin holds licenses in Pupil Services Administration and School Psychology, and his extensive career spans roles as a school psychologist, supervisor of special education, and director of student services. He has honed his skills in supporting all students across these roles, ensuring that each child receives the attention and resources they need to succeed.

His teaching experience as an adjunct instructor at Miami University, where he spent six years in the Educational Psychology Department, further enriches his understanding of educational psychology and effective practices.

In his new role at Wayne Local School District, Kevin is committed to advocating for the needs of all students by supporting school staff and aligning his efforts with the district's goals. He firmly believes in the power of building strong relationships through collaboration, communication, and customer service to foster students' academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and mental well-being.

Kevin is the proud father of two daughters, Anna and Isabella.
