About Waynesville High School Waynesville High School is a four-year public high school serving over 500 students in grades 9 through 12 supported by classroom teachers, technologists, administrators, counselors and an array of staff members, special educators, volunteers and aides. WHS has adopted the High Schools That Work continuous improvement plan and has received many awards over the past several years. WHS has been identified as “excellent” for the past seven years by the Ohio Department of Education
Coursed Offered WHS offers a wide array of quality classes for students, as well as solid requirements. All students will identify a college or career education track upon entering WHS and will take courses to prepare for life after high school. WHS offers advanced placement courses in: English, Biology, US History, European History, 2-D Art, 3-D Art, Art Studio, Chemistry and Calculus.
Extracurricular Activities More than 70 percent of students at Waynesville High School are involved in extracurricular activities. As a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Southwest Buckeye League , Waynesville High School Athletic Department sponsors baseball, girls and boys basketball, girls and boys cross country, cheerleading, football, girls and boys golf, girls and boys soccer, girls fastpitch softball, girls and boys swimming, girls and boys tennis, girls and boys track, girls volleyball, and wrestling.
WHS has an outstanding fine arts department with many of our students involved in these superior programs. Students have the opportunity to participate in: concert band, marching band, steel drum band, chorus, drama presentations, clubs and student organizations.
